An Observation
U.S.A. vs El Salvador
World Cup Qualifier 9/5/2009 Rio Tinto Stadium Sandy, Utah
Result: U.S.A. 2 - 1 El Salvador

This was my first U.S. Men’s National Team game since the 96’ Olympics. It was an exciting match, below are some key points I took away from the game.
- Charlie Davies was the real deal; an explosive, speedy striker with a positive first touch. I’m glad I had the chance to see him play before his accident and hope he can reach that form again.
- Stuart Holden came on as a second half sub and looked the same. A skillful player on the rise looking dangerous every time he was on the ball. I anticipate he’ll make a full recovery from his injury, and get his chance to make a positive impact for the USMNT.
- The El Salvador fans were awesome. It was a rowdy atmosphere and I’ll gladly see these two play again when WCQ 2014 starts up.

Club World Cup Final
Santos vs. Barcelona 12-18-2011 5:30 a.m. ET Fox Soccer/Fox Deportes
This year’s Club World Cup Final is sure to provide some flair with Brazilian powerhouse Santos up against Champions of Europe Barcelona. It’s inevitable Neymar will make a big money move to one of Europe’s elite clubs in the near future, and his display will surely be under the microscope Sunday.
Even with the absence of David Villa, Barcelona shouldn’t have any trouble finding the back of the net.
“Neymar will definitely do something. I have no doubt he will make them [Barcelona] suffer.” Ramalho, Santos Coach.
“Our hope and our aim is to win the title again. We know it will be difficult, though, because Santos are a good team with several skillful players.” Guardiola, Barcelona Coach
